Xamarin's interface is clean, intuitive and most importantly extremely comforting, meaning that it is not intimidating for the person who is being introduced to programming in general. I use it for educational purposes only, leaving Visual Studio for personal projects and development. So, the reason I've been using Xamarin Studio rather than Visual Studio is due to the simplistic and non-convoluted interface. I know that i can always just go back to old versions, but i thought i might take the chance and ask now, who knows, maybe i'm missing something. I was truly disappointed to find out that Xamarin Studio(Mono) was no longer being shipped with Unity.
